About Our Event

On January 31st, 2024, Neighbors For A Better San Diego hosted a candidate forum for District 3 candidates Kate Callen, Coleen Cusack, Ellis California Jones, and Stephen Whitburn.

Thank you to everyone who attended — we had a full house!

The forum was moderated by the League of Women Voters of San Diego and conducted according to their guidelines. Audience members had an opportunity to submit questions, and each candidate had equal time to answer.

The two candidates with the most votes in the March 5, 2024, primary election will move on to the general election in November. This was an opportunity for District 3 constituents to hear from the candidates and learn where they stand on the issues that matter most to District 3 communities: Balboa Park • Bankers Hill/Park West • Downtown • Golden Hill • Hillcrest • Little Italy • Middletown • Mission Hills • Mission Valley • North Park • Old Town • South Park • University Heights
